July is a month for Making Moves! Many of us are familiar with the physical health benefits of movement, but did you know that it is good for our brains too? Engaging in regular movement gives us the opportunity to enhance our mood, decrease stress, connect with others and improve our cognitive functioning. Moving our bodies comes in a variety of forms, such as having an impromptu dance party, structured exercise, and just going about our daily lives. Let’s be intentional about making moves throughout this month by using the activity list below or moving in ways that fit you!

This month in Be Well, we are Making Moves! There are profound positive benefits from movement on our physical and mental well-being both when we are actively moving and collectively over time. The great news is that movement can be structured exercise, having a dance party and just going about our daily activities.
